Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Emre Kayaalp

Dr. Kayaalp is a Board-certified Obstetrics & Gynecology specialist. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College, an M.D. from Rutgers—New Jersey Medical School, and a Ph.D. from the McGill University Division of Experimental Medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kayaalp has worked with leading biomedical engineers, commercialized some of his discoveries, and holds several relevant patents. He is dedicated to improving healthcare access and delivery in the Women’s Health space, particularly in resource-poor settings. 

As Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Erycell, Dr. Kayaalp intends to make a broad impact on fetal testing, cancer screening, and other pressing global and local needs.

Levent Erhamza

Levent spent 20 years in corporate America with such companies as Hilton, Disney and Goldman Sachs. After leaving corporate life Levent opened Core Cell Clinics in Munich Germany and then Guten Parts in Maplewood New Jersey.  He is a proud alumni of University of Wisconsin- Stout (Hotel and Restaurant Management) and Duke University (MBA).

Throughout his years of diverse management and business experiences, Levent has led and inspired teams to reach their potential. His range gained from working in corporate America to being a small business owner has made Levent incredibly astute to potential opportunities and areas of growth.

Levent brings his unique yet incredibly robust background to Erycell in hopes of propelling the company to be a leading contributor to modern healthcare.

Co-Founder & Chief Tech Officer

George Collins

Dr. George Collins has been a member of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology for over 19 years. He holds a BA in chemistry from Occidental College in Los Angeles and PhDs in Physical Polymer Chemistry from the State University of New York, ESF JointProgram with Syracuse University Chemistry Department.

Before joining the Biomedical Engineering Department, Dr. Collins spent 30 years in multi-nationalcorporate research, small business technology development, and consulting. For the past 19 years as aprofessor at NJIT, he has been engaged in the technical mentoring of students from all levels of education; high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral. His educational focus has been to facilitate the development of critical thinking in laboratory research and engineering design.

His association with Dr. Kayaalp has led to the generation of many ideas, concepts and designs formedical devices that can have a high impact on global health. With the guidance of Levent Erhamza, EryCell was created around bringing these ideas into domain of medical practice with the motivation of disruptively enhancing the delivery of world healthcare.
